Finished up while sitting on my deck in the sun. 🌞 This was a speedy read for me. I don't always enjoy memoirs but I liked Marie Henein's because her writing style and story-telling were to the point and didn't belabour anything. I think I'd have enjoyed more stories from her law school days, as it felt like she went straight from youth to practice, but it's not my story to tell, just to absorb and enjoy.

How can Marie Henein not think she is funny?! The snark in this was the kind of humour I adore. I did find the commentary on the legal system a bit boring but was enchanted by her family's stories and in stitches when she was railing on double-standards, comments on her "brand" and the chapter on turning 50. I wonder if she has any fiction in her...
