The Essentials:
√An absolutely FREEZING day with all-day rain (or snow if up north).
√A fire roaring in the den/library with Matt's and my loungers (ala Holmes-and-Watson style) right in front, dog beds beside fus or Kate and Pippa.
√Me, ensconced in said chair, bundled in a cozy blanket, with a book and hot coffee with Bailey's and whipped cream to sip.

P.S. I am so ready for winter. ❄️

I don‘t really have a favorite place. I‘ll read wherever. However, I do prefer to read where I will not be disturbed. That‘s difficult, not only because I have too many kids, but because I have ADHD. 😂

I have two… my big recliner in my living is my go-to place to curl up with a book and then my second choice, when the weather is nice, is my glider on my deck!

I don‘t really have a reading nook. I want a reading nook! For now, the closest thing is to curl up on the couch while watching TV or to sit and read on the patio if weather permits. In the fall I like going to the sports bar with my husband and friends and reading while they watch football. #sundayfunday

First is the book nook I created with my favorite blankets and next to most of my books.

On warmer days (not too hot!) I also love sitting out on the lounge chair in the backyard.

My book recs depend on the person I‘m speaking with. So, I have to know what the person might do with the book. If I think it will develop further compassion in them or that they are open to learning of the reality of this world we live in, I will recommend my favorites to them. I don‘t want these works I love being used against the very people the author is giving humanity to.
