Other than small local libraries, I have never been to a large city library but would love to. So can't say I have a favorite. I do miss the online NC library system because it was large and the various counties participated. Where I live now the online library is limited.

BookmarkTavern Online libraries are so great! Thank you for sharing! 3d

I am lucky to live in a city with many libraries, my favorite has been the Central in downtown, it is old & beautiful, but am excited to see the 1 closest to me, it is being rebuilt & opens this summer, looks incredibly promising, from 1 of the smallest to 1 of the biggest in the city!

Outside of my own book borrowing, I love the SIgnet Library in Edinburgh, where you can have tea and chat with librarians, it was built in 1810 and is gorgeous!

Locally, I love the Salt Lake City Library. It‘s so open and beautiful!

But, the Trinity College Library in Dublin is also on my travel bucket list. 💖 I want to visit there so bad.

#SundayFunday Have a marvelous day and make sure to tag me in your posts!

JenReadsAlot It's worth a trip to Dublin! 5d
SaunteringVaguelyDownwards Both of those libraries are beautiful in their own unique ways! 5d
KCofKaysville @BookmarkTavern I am in SLC and like the Library here a lot, especially the branches 5d

Oh yes! Though it is so much harder on me as I have gotten older. I have to admit that I regularly stay up until 1 or 2 in the morning to read. Not a great sleeper anymore.

CoverToCoverGirl Lol, funny you should ask! Yes, just Saturday night until 7:05 am Sunday morning. Slept like the dead last night. The book culprit was 2w
TheSpineView @CoverToCoverGirl Not a fan of no sleep but on the other hand I loved when a book is that good. 2w
BookmarkTavern It‘s so rough! I love when a book is so good I forgot everything else, but I really feel it the next day as I get older! Thanks for posting! 1w

I have many fond memories during the summer as a kid when I would stay up until I finished a book. Now that I'm retired, I'm able to do the same, but my ol' body ain't what it used to be. 😂 The last book I just had to stay up and gobble in basically one sitting was CARRIE SOTO.

CrystalE02 Yep!!! I have, and I still do it from time to time. 2w
dabbe @CrystalE02 🤩😍😃 2w
peaKnit I frequently wake up in the night and finish books. 2w

marleed As an adult, I am a sleeper so it‘s difficult for me not to get my 8+ hours. But….., back to my tween self where I snuck my dad‘s hardback (gosh I wish I had that book!) of The Exorcist to my bedroom. It was an all-nighter that scared the bejesus out of me, and I had to fake no impact! 2w
MysticFaerie All the time! 2w
dabbe @peaKnit I should do that instead of just laying there and hoping I'll fall back asleep. 🤩 2w
dabbe @marleed Now that would scare the wits out of me! 😱 2w
BookmarkTavern I had perfected the flashlight under the covers when I was a kid! ❤️ Tganks for sharing! 2w
peaKnit @dabbe that‘s what lead me to start getting up to read, if I‘m reading I can be thinking about stuff I can‘t control at 3am. Sometimes an audio book I‘ve listened to before can be soothing. I know the story so I can relax into it. 2w
dabbe @BookmarkTavern 🤩😂😍 2w
dabbe @peaKnit Great idea. I'm going to prepare myself to read next time! 🤩 2w

Two audiobooks were so good that I listened to them every free minute and stayed up to finish. Books that long and that good-when you‘re so close you just have to go for it. The Fireman and Wolf Hall.

I did get SOME sleep, but the tagged kept me up WAY too late. And occasionally, I would try to go to sleep and found I couldn't stop thinking about the characters, so I'd turn the light back on and read some more!

#SundayFunday @BookmarkTavern

BookmarkTavern Yup! If I‘m still thinking about a book, I‘m not getting any sleep so I might as well finish it! Thanks for answering! 2w
