Love this! 🤣
This book made me so emotional. The words we keep inside can lead us down paths that might hurt us or keep us from reaching our best selves. I found the anxious thoughts throughout this book to be highly relatable. -Am I good enough? Am I doing enough? I have to be perfect because everyone is counting on me to get it right.- These thoughts are the words we keep close when we really ought to share them.
A good story, but not a great one, imo. I didn't necessarily feel like it had anything new to say about teens and mental health, and the strikethroughs and poetical renderings of thoughts were only semi-successful as literary devices for me personally. I don't NOT recommend it, but don't rush to get to it. #yalit
I couldn't put this book down. Great YA novel that deals with mental health. "You are not broken. You are already whole, even if you need help. And you are not alone."
