Shirley Jackson is a literary master. I love the character building of Eleanor and her relationship with all of the other characters. In the end I have lots of questions but that is one of the reasons I love this book so much.

Great book that deals with a lot of tough topics. It is about 12 native Americans getting ready to go to a powwow in Oakland California. I think I would like this book better if the characters were narrowed down to 3 or 4 of them. It was too hard to keep track of all the characters with there being 12 of them.

This book felt like a collection of short stories rather than a novel about two missing girls. The book could have just been the 1st chapter and the last two and it would have been perfect.

An amazing middle grade novel! I don't want to say much because I don't want to give anything away but it is about a child called Bug getting ready to enter middle school that lives in a haunted house and her uncle has just passed away. Definitely a perfect choice for pride month!

I picked this book up just to see what the craze over Colleen Hoover was about. While I found the relationship between the two characters to be problematic I still devoured the book and picked up another one by her.

I love TJ Klune's dark sense of humor. Like my review of his other book, The House In The Cerulean Sea, it does become a little too sweet of a book and gets wrapped up with a bow but I enjoyed the ride.

It took me a bit to get into this novel but once I got past a hundred pages or so I flew thru it. It takes place in 1860 in Louisiana and is about the Gilbert family and their plantation. It is a YA novel but I would only recommend it to older teens and adults.

Novel that takes place in Dublin in 1918 over 3 days in a maternity ward during the great flu. After reading this I want to learn more about the rebel doctor, Kathleen Lynn. The ending felt a little rushed but I'm not sure if it was meant to be that way because of how quickly things can change during that time period. I think I would have enjoyed this more if we weren't currently going through our own pandemic.
