Great story about film and occult during the 1990s in Mexico City.

I had fun reading this ARC. I'm a little bored with coming of age stories, so this was a pleasant change. It is a story of 4 middle-aged friends who are overworked and tired of saying yes to everything. Felt very relatable.
Heartbreaking story about love and coming to the United States from all over Latin America.
Beautiful story about family, love, and loss. So many different emotions through the whole book. This one will stay with me for a bit.
It's my second time reading it. I loved the writing style on this one. I think I might have liked this book more if it was a biography and not fiction. 😂
I enjoyed this first book in an Italian series about friendship.
Beautifully written novel about race, class, family, and ethics.
This book felt way rushed after the first book in the series. It could have been 200 pages less. Otherwise it is a fun fantasy novel.
Disappointing thriller. I don't get the hype. But on that note, I did finish it in two days. 😂
Story was not what I expected at all. Very touching and emotional read.
Such a good, creepy book. McMahon is becoming a favorite of mine.
I love Anthony Bourdain. I miss his attitude and outlook on life.
Engrossing missing child book. Some of it was predictable but it was a quick read.
Such a sad story but it really could have used a better editor. The writing was hard to get past.
Very creepy novel. I really enjoyed it. A magical water spring that grants wishes but then takes something from you. #horror
I was not expecting to like this book at all. I was pleasantly surprised!
I loved this book. Recommend for any book lover who also loves a bit of a heartwarming story.
Loved this novel. What would you do if you received a box with a string that told you how long your life was going to be? Would you open it? What would you do if you received a short string; or if your partner did? This book goes into all of that and more.
Sweet book about a matchmaker grandmother in the early 1900s and her granddaughter that is a divorce lawyer in the 1990s.
This book is so good! Best book I have read in a long time.
Funny at times but in all honesty I was not impressed. I have read better romcoms.
I couldn't get into the book at all. It was trying too hard to be edgy.
This was a great palate cleanser for me and a great summer read. An ode to When Harry Met Sally. The ending hits hard too. 🖤
I really enjoyed this quick paced novel about a woman scientist in the 1950s.
It took a while to get into. Once I did though, I found the heist to be fascinating.
Such a beautiful, heartbreaking story.
This book is so good. Grohl has an amazing life and career. This book makes you love him even more. Do yourself a favor and listen to it on audio. This book just hits different when Grohl reads his story to you.
Wow. I loved this retelling of Achilles and Patroclus. Love, violence, and gods and goddesses. What more can one ask for?
I loved this book. I call this genre "happy books for sad people."
Super predictable thriller. Most of the characters are annoying.
Great book about giving things your all even if it pushes you out of your comfort zone. How can you succeed if you don't try? It helps that it is written by one of my favorite comedians.
Such a good, creepy book. I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did. I'm glad I won a copy of it.
Usually I don't listen to audio books because I end up doing a million things while playing them and I don't pay attention. I listened to this one on audio for my commute to work and the reader was atrocious. The story itself was good though. Do yourself a favor if you decide to read it and get the physical copy. I know I wish I did.
If you like the podcast My Favorite Murder, this is a must read.
I enjoyed this memoir of short essays. Lots of dark humor which I love. McInerny just didn't talk about anything that I didn't already know. Overall I liked it though.
I kept falling asleep every time I picked the book up to read it.
I LOVED this novel! It is one of Hendrix's best yet. It is a slow burn with a creepy undertone until you get smacked with it for the last half of the book.
I was lucky enough to meet with Grady Hendrix and have him sign my book. I had him come to the library that I worked at to have him do an author event for this book. He had us laughing and crying by the end of the night. I highly recommend this book!
Slow burn murder mystery novel. I really enjoyed it even though I was not a fan of the main character Maddie. I went into the book thinking I wouldn't like it based off the blurb on the jacket. I'm happy I didn't go off my first impression!

It was an okay thriller. The beginning and end of the book were good, but the middle was a bit boring.
Wasn't for me. Funny enough, I was falling alseep while reading it.
