Incredibly clever & fun middle grade fantasy adventure that needs more hype. The world-building was interesting & I loved the atmosphere. Very entertaining. A good, strong female protagonist & good character interactions. A solid ending with great handling of more mature & difficult topics/situations. Some great lessons about personal strength & importance of verifying information. Strong character development & a good example for young readers.

Residents of walled cities always think the wall is to keep something out. That‘s what Octavia thinks but one day she‘s caught outside & discovers everything she know is wrong. Lots to like in this middle grade fantasy adventure filled with monsters, magic, lies, deceit and secrets. On sale 4/26/22.
