Message (Animorphs #4): Volume 4 | K a Applegate
4 posts | 27 read
The wildly popular books by K.A. Applegate are back! The Animorphs return in this update of the classic series. It all started with the dreams. But Cassie didn't pay much attention to them. She and her friends have been having nightmares ever since they acquired the power to morph. But when Cassie discovers that Tobias has been having dreams too -- the exact same dreams -- about the ocean, and a voice that's calling to them for help, she decides it's time to start listening. Now she and the others have to figure out if the dreams are a message, or a trap.

Dolphin morphs, whale friends, sneaking into places as seagulls and a daring underwater rescue mission that results in saving Ax, the younger brother of the Andalite Prince who gifted the kids with morphing abilities before dying. The stakes are raised again as they not only have another near fatal brush with Visser 3 but learn what Yeerks do to lands they colonise. The sound effects really elevate the audiobook experience. SO MUCH FUN!

Cassie and Tobias have odd dreams/visions that lead the group under the ocean waves to discover something they never expected, a new ally.
The introduction of my absolute fav Animorph!
Cassie has to make decisions that could seriously impact the group and questions the ethics of their “using” animal DNA to fight.
There were poignant moments where the story acknowledges the uniquely deep intelligence of dolphins and whales. ❤️🌊🐬🐋🌊❤️

Animorphs #4: The Message | K.A. Applegate

Take the other night. It was late. I should have been in bed. Instead I was in the barn, getting ready to turn into a squirrel.
