Shadow Fallen
Shadow Fallen: A Dream-Hunter Novel | Sherrilyn Kenyon
2 posts | 3 read | 1 to read
#1 New York Times bestselling author Sherrilyn Kenyon returns with Shadow Fallen, a brand-new entry in her Dream-Hunter series. For centuries, Ariel has fought the forces of evil. Her task was to protect the souls of innocent mortals when they die. Captured by a powerful sorceress, she is transformed into a human who has no memory of her real life or calling. And is plunked into the middle of the Norman invasion of England. Cursed the moment he was born with a "demonic deformity," Valteri wants nothing of this earth except to depart it and will do his duty to his king until then. When a strange noblewoman is brought before him, Valteri realizes he has met her before...in his dreams. When others come for her, bringing with them preternatural predators, he is faced with a destiny he had no idea was waiting. One he wants no part of. The truth is that Valteri isn’t just a knight of William the Conqueror. He is the son of one of the deadliest powers in existence, and if he doesn’t restore Ariel to her place, she is not the only one who will be in peril. The world itself hangs in the balance, and he is the necessary key to hold back the powers of evil. But only if he can find a way to work with the woman who stands for everything in the universe he hates. I do love a good fantasy mash up with supernatural romance. A bit of everything.

ALL. THE. STARS!!!! Oh I loved returning to her Dream Hunter world. It‘s been YEARS since one of these came out. And it was worth the wait. Her world building is amazing and the chemistry between Ariel and Valteri is classic Sherrilyn Kenyon! #sherrilynkenyon #romantsy readingchallenge2022

BethM How did you feel about the last few dark hunter books? 2y
KristiAhlers @BethM I liked them. But that‘s probably due to the fact I knew what she was going through personally and figured that translated to her writing. This one is like when they first came out as far as character development and writing style. It was worth the wait and giving her another chance. To be fair she‘s an auto buy author for me. 2y
BethM She was an auto buy for me as well, but those last few were not good. I knew about the personal stuff too, but I would‘ve rather had nothing Than the subpar work. I‘ll give this one a shot. 2y

CoverToCoverGirl I love her writing! It‘s exciting to hear that she‘s back on track. Hopefully she has finally extricated herself from her horrific personal situation. 2y
KristiAhlers @CoverToCoverGirl according to my friend who knows her personally she has. And judging from this book she‘s back to writing her amazing stories. She managed to make me cry with this one. So much heart. 2y
