I read this as it was referenced in March Book One. It's a bit of a relic of its time, but I still couldn't help but be pulled in by its message and the effective way it wove its story together.
How brave these men and women were.
Trying something a little different other than an end-of-the-month stats report! Post-Election Blues and Cabin Fever left me restless and falling back on escapist and light reads, so while my numbers were up, I feel like I've been eating cotton candy all month! Still, my Pick of the Month was deceptively serious stuff considering it was a 16-page comic! If you get a chance, grab it! Relevant and thought provoking ❄️
In John Lewis' March trilogy, the now US Representative (GA05) mentions reading and being influenced by the 1958 comic book about Martin Luther King, Jr. It's only 16 pages long; but it contains a mini-bio of MLK, an Everyman parable about non-violence, and a guide to organizing non-violent protests. Relevant in today's political atmosphere, and currently available in PB and in eBook formats. #MLK
