Pickpick

A good read, set in a boarding school in England. It was once infamous for 4 students who died. Lottie and Alice are roommates, both of whom they don't seem to like each other. Then strange things start to happen to both of them and finally turn to each other to help themselves solve the issues.

Teen readers might enjoy this one more than I did. It all felt just a bit "blah" for me.

It's a modern retelling of Dr. Jeckyll and Mr. Hyde, which I found intriguing. It reads quickly and has a few suspenseful moments, but overall the characters felt flat and the story never reached a satisfying climax or conclusion for me.

Read in the bath with one of the new Mario/Lush bath bombs

It was okay. Slow to start and then the ending felt rushed. Not a bad spooky, mystery book.

Susanita At first I thought the review was for the bath bomb! 😂 2y
PuddleJumper @Susanita 😂😂 Oh no, the bath bomb was fantastic! 2y

"A shiver had run down my spine as the North Tower came into view from the end of the sweeping driveway, its spires and crenellations silhouetted against a gray autumn sky. There was something so alive about the old convent building; something that swooped and pulsed like a murmuration of starlings. It brought to mind old parchment and knee deep piles of crunchy red leaves, cellos and dark window panes and snow."

Went to the farmer's market yesterday for some produce (and croissants and honey! 😋) and was delighted to see everything decorated with lights and fall decorations! 🎃🍁🍂
