After a string of mediocre thrillers and as you can tell from my reviews, I had an”AHA” moment and decided to skip “ the next “Gone Girl” (I think at this point even “Gone Girl isn‘t the next GG!) and read this. It is the story of two Indian families and the traditional v. modern, misunderstandings, hope, despair - life. Finally a book where I liked the characters. When a chapter concentrated on one character I kept thinking what about the other.
