2 posts | 1 read
#1 WALLSTREET JOURNAL BESTSELLER USA TODAY BESTSELLER Transformational leaders will leverage positive change In a world of explosive change and transformation, leaders at all levels--from heads of state and global corporations to entrepreneurs and gig economists--will offer the best opportunity for leveraging change and transforming our lives for the better. This includes how we work, play, govern ourselves, and consider and plan for our collective futures. In Lift, Faisal Hoque--noted thought leader; serial entrepreneur; technology innovator; advisor to CEOs, BODs, and the US federal government; and author--offers a timely and much needed perspective on individual and organizational leadership. This thought-provoking bookinvites you to explore the intersection of transformational leadership, systemic thinking, and experiential learning--all required to survive and thrive the tsunami of changes and disruptions caused by the Fourth Industrial Revolution, the Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, and misinformation trends. Hoque proposes that "transformational" leaders--those who focus on people and long-term innovations and solutions--are the key to a prosperous future. In Lift, he shows you how to become a transformational leader in an ever-changing world through a convergence of empathy, execution, and knowledge.

Need advice. This book is.not.good. 😱 I don‘t want to finish but it‘s an #arc.

Do you finish your #arc books? It‘s an audio so it‘s hard to skim. 😄 (I usually finish mine—skimming if I have to. But this one. Ugh.)

I‘m listening to an #arc of the tagged book. Lift: Fostering the Leader in You Amid Revolutionary Global Change.

I had no idea there were *4* industrial revolutions.

So far this is a tough listen. Lots of detail and stats.

I‘m 16% in and there‘s been no fostering the leader.
