pickFirst Oates and I loved the experience! What a great (also, very disturbing!) story.
I took my time reading this one, because I did not want to miss any details. Even though I kind of figured out who killed Fox early on, the story becomes so twisted that I started to feel that any of the characters could've done it.
Highly recommend this one and I can't wait to read more Oates! #arc

Lovely.I was enraptured & felt angry when I had to stop reading to go back to work. I adore Hartman‘s world building. Charl was a wonderful protagonist. He acts his age, but is also kind. Need to dive back into the world.🌕🌕🌕🌕🌗
pickI‘m surprised I never heard of Dean Corll, aka the “Candy Man,” before given how prolific of a serial killer he was. This book blends both the gruesome murders of dozens of boys in the 1970s along with the scientific and anthropologic work of forensic anthropologist Sharon Derrick, who decades later tirelessly worked to bring justice for the Lost Boys and peace to their families. Well researched and well written.
