I got 6 just hours in (rounded down) for the #20in4 #readathon but I am happy. I finished 2 books & made progress in my buddy reads & an #ARC for a book tour review, finished a short story & started 2 more books from my #TBR

Some good stackable points with the other readathons I am participating in for #Scarathlon2022 #TeamMonsterMash 🧟‍♂️🧛🏻🧟‍♀️🎃👻🐺🧙‍♀️

Thank you @Andrew65 for hosting!

This latest from Kate Clayborn was a delight! I loved Georgie and Levi and their sweet, tender and messy relationship. With multiple moments that made me laugh out loud and even more that made me smile, this love story is layered, thoughtful, and real. Clayborn has become a favorite author of mine because she always makes me laugh, swoon, and think. Releases in January, 2023, highly recommend! #Bookspin #ARC @TheAromaofBooks

In the Shadows of Humanity is an interesting novel about a futuristic world in which humans and various types of AI live. Some times the terms used were confusing and the storyline a bit uninteresting. It was an ok science fiction.

This is very fun. Baba Yaga's house with the chicken legs is a central (though mostly silent) character. A modern fairytale based on Russian folklore.

I think I've packed everything I need for the #ReadingRetreat weekend.

The kindle has about 550 books on. And I have six books in the suitcase.

I plan to read the tagged #ARC on the train.

Well that was something. I have previously read and loved Ian McEwan (Atonement) and also read and hated Ian McEwan (On Chesil Beach) this one fell clearly in the middle I didn‘t love it, I didn‘t hate it with fear of damning with faint praise I liked it.

squirrelbrain I have an ARC of this but I‘m just not inspired to start it…and it‘s a bit of a chunkster too! 🤷‍♀️ 1w
BarbaraBB I think I maybe have read enough McEwan even though I liked most of his books 🤷🏻‍♀️ @squirrelbrain 1w

Mehso-so

I wanted to LOVE this book but it was way too long and overly written. There were too many subplots that drew me away from the heart of the story and ultimately added no value. While I was happy to reunite with many characters from the first two books & pleased to have further closure, I‘m still not sure this book was necessary. An ok read but not quite the book I was anticipating. #MoreMehThanYeah #AvailableTuesday #ARC #NetGalley

AvidReader25 I loved Beartown but I‘ve been hesitant to continue the series. Is the second one worth reading? 2w
Cinfhen I‘m still in the camp that BEARTOWN should have been a standalone. If you want SPOILERS lmk @AvidReader25 😜 2w
AvidReader25 @Cinfhen Hmm, that‘s kind of how I felt. That‘s why I never picked up the second one. 2w
TheAromaofBooks Great progress, although I'm sorry this one was ultimately a disappointment. 1w
