Loved it! 😍 I normally bail on a long series after about 5 books, but Connolly never disappoints me and keeps me interested, even after 22 books.

This book leans more into the supernatural as Charlie Parker fights to locate missing children with the help of his daughters. The book is dark and gritty and filled with all the things I love about these books.

There was something very meditative about this book. I found a lot of joy in reading it and letting everything slow down.

The food descriptions were absolutely amazing. The ethos of minimising waste by using leftovers to create new dishes was really inspiring and there was a lot of love put into this aspect of the book.

I recently read and enjoyed Kuyatt‘s Good Different, so when I saw this on NetGalley I had to read it as well. V is artistic and autistic, and she‘s not quite looking forward to spending a summer with her very particular grandma Jojo. Then she realizes there‘s a ghost in the walls and starts to learn secrets about women in her family who weren‘t allowed to be their true selves. Must she also conform or will she break the patterns of the past?

That feeling you get when a new book is kindly sent to you and it looks so good you just want to drop everything and start reading…

This was a great read! The story follows three generations of women in an Iranian family. A part of them immigrate to the US, so we are given POVs about their lives and how they are deeply rooted in each other, even when a couple of them have not seen each other in years or met in person.

These women are very privileged and most of the time it made them navigate life without any regard to consequences.

This one was just okay for me. I liked the still-yet-to-figure-it-out romance between Leo and Jasper. I liked the mystery and story. But it wasn‘t really intriguing or interesting. Interesting, but not REALLY interesting. I wanted to know what happened next but not in-a-way like I gotta know NOW. I really love the community & the characters in this series. They are all so much fun. & the importance placed on the food is delicious. & this mystery was well done, but I was disappointed that the book tried to go with “they‘re crazy” when their stated motivations were already enough.🌕🌕🌕🌗🌑
