Marnie Fairchild runs the family business Wish & Company where she services high end clientele who don't want the task of gift buying. This is a light, romantic story with humorous moments when the ever perfect Marnie becomes distracted and accidently gets some gifts mixed up.

This book had a lot of plotlines going, but I was fully along for the ride. Appreciated that all perspectives got considered and explored, though I did find it hard to forgive Luke for how negatively he saw Marnie's whole business model. He might not have been wrong, but he was certainly annoying about it. Still, it was an engaging, satisfying read! #womensfiction #contemporaryromance

This Australian romance/family drama involves Marnie Fairchild and the whole Charlesworth family. Marnie runs Wish & Co- a gift buying and wrapping shop. Many of her buying clients are men with complicated family lives- like Brian Charlesworth- who‘s mistress shares a birthday with his wedding anniversary. Parts of the plot are more expected, but I enjoyed this rather comforting story from start to finish!

Marnie Fairchild is the owner/operator of a high-end gift shop and also serves as a personal shopper for wealthy clients. She dreams of buying and restoring her grandfather‘s partially burned shoe repair shop. When a mixup with a gift threatens to lose clients, it also threatens her ability to bid on her dream property. Luke Charlesworth is a timber furniture crafter with a disappointed father and a surprise arrival out of the blue. 🔻

robinb These two meet, there‘s romance…but also secrets that might keep them from a HEA and Marnie from her dream. I had mixed feelings on this one. I liked Marnie‘s independent spirit and her dedication in reaching for her dream, but she also does a couple of things that bothered me and seemed to contradict her personality. I also found the romance a bit rushed. Overall I think I‘d rate it as a so-so, but others may have a higher regard. 3.25/5⭐️ 2y
