In the aftermath of a shooting at their small town high school, lifelong friends Tristan and Noah turn to each other in the hopes of finding comfort. They watch from the tenuous sidelines while their classmates fall apart, each of the survivors handling it in their own way. While some fall in love or search for meaning in religion, others get lost in the pitfalls of politics, resentment, drug abuse and depression.
I wrote this book to take a human lens to an issue that often gets politicized in the media. The overarching themes are love, kindness and forgiveness.
