pickThis beautiful book was hard for me to read, I couldn't do it aloud. First they build a trust bond only to go to war and get separated. Then the battle. If you have a child that's fascinated by war, it's a good book, complete with bibliography and geography exploration opportunities. Not recommended for horse lovers triggered by the truth of what happens in a cavalry. I'm allergic to horses, but I love animals. 😢 😭 over here
