I like this page and the illustrations it is telling so much in the story with little words.
I grew u watching clifford. i really like this comic book. I like how it showed clifford growing up over time. I did not realize how much i enjoyed comics until i read some of them.
“Perfect. The best time to look for an animal is when you‘re not looking for one.”
I think this is a really sweet story about being different than others but finding power in that and being able to stand up for yourself
Published in 2020. This movie tells the story of a little girl, Emily, who lives in New York. Emily feels like she is different than other kids, and doesn‘t fit in at school as the new student. While spending time with her Uncle Casey, they stop at a animal rescue and she meets Clifford. Emily and Clifford are destined to be together and learn how to take on the world.
“People who are unique are the ones who change the world.”
Clifford the Big Red Dog is an all time favorite of mine. I grew up watching and reading about him. Having a modernized version of this beloved character‘s story to share with students is special.
Protagonist Emily Elizabeth finds herself struggling to fit in at home and in her school. Then, she meets Clifford, a tiny red puppy who becomes her best friend. When Clifford has a magical growth spurt overnight, he attracts the attention of a genetics company looking for a way to supersize animals.
“He‘s so tiny. How big will he get?” “Well that depends in how much you love him of course!”
As someone who grew up watching Clifford, I think the illustrations are a great depiction of the movies.
The illustrations are colorful and easy to follow. The font if the captions are relatively small but still appealing to read. The artist uses up as much space as possible and leaves little white space.
