There are WAY too many books I loved as a child to select just one. However, I remember loving the book Homer Price. He had some interesting adventures. I also loved The Chronicles of Narnia, Beverly Cleary books, and The Series of Unfortunate Events. ☺️❤️🌟 Also, did you realize Beverly Cleary is 104?! 😱 #playtagshare #funfriYAY

HappilyEverKrafter Every year I see Beverly Clearly being wished a happy birthday, I‘m amazed that such a gem is still with us! Thank you for sharing! 📚❤️ 4y

This is the cover! @ljuliel 😀😀😀

JanuarieTimewalker13 That‘s the one I read as a kid. Thank goodness for Thrift Books...lol 5y
ljuliel Oh, yea, that‘s the older cover. The one our library had. It‘s the same book, only this picture was used as the cover. Let‘s test your 50 year old memory. Do you remember what got LOST in the donut mix ? 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 You‘re killing me right now. Lol give me two minutes to wipe away the cobwebs... @ljuliel (edited) 5y

JanuarieTimewalker13 I really have no clue but for some reason I‘m thinking a key? @ljuliel 5y
ljuliel Nope. I can tell you or you can wait and read it. Your call. 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Hmmm, I‘m going to wait. I should have the book by Monday. Did you read Encyclopedia Brown? 5y
ljuliel No, I never did read them. I tended to read lots of Grimms Fairy Tales as a kid. Plus they had a kid‘s book on Helen Keller. I was fascinated with that. I think I wore it out too. 😊 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh wow!! Yes!! I think I read that Helen Keller book too!! I missed the fairy tales...for some reason, I was a serious child in that regard...strange. @ljuliel 5y
ljuliel I wasn‘t as much into the happily ever after fairy tales. Probably why I liked Grimm‘s. Pretty odd stories for kids, but I liked them and still would prefer them over the Disney versions. (edited) 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 @ljuliel I was thinking about that after I made my comment. Not sure if that would have jibed with me...Probably too dark, but honestly, I don‘t know enough about Grimm‘s to talk about them. I was more the Little House On The Prairie, Anne of Green Gables, Encyclopedia Brown, Pippi Longstocking and Heidi type. 5y
ljuliel I liked Pippi Longstocking ! 5y

Last night I attended a Fall Festival at the elementary school I attended. Due to college, residency, and jobs, I moved away and was gone for 10 years but I moved back. So upon entering the library last night to play BINGO, I saw this book that I remember reading in 3rd grade and being tested on... 20 years prior. Same book, same copy. Was a very neat and nostalgic moment for me.

Pickpick

I just found one of my childhood favorite books, Homer Price, on the shelves in our family cabin. Homer (you can see his pic) is a laconic, not easily surprised narrator with a pet skunk named Aroma. I'm thinking of giving my current heroine a pet skunk as an homage. #bestbooks #skunks!

Lauren_reading My mom had a pet skunk when she was little, so fun 😀 8y
MrBook My cousin had a pet skunk too 😊👍🏻z 8y
