so-soMy last read of 2022 and I enjoyed this MG but it wasn't memorable. CW (and this isn't a plot spoiler as it is introduced right at the beginning) - for death of a parent which remains a strong element throughout.
Also a lovely strong friendship bond and other themes of empathy, school, magic, nature.
