It‘s taken me over a week to read 100 pages- I‘m not sure why I‘m not invested in this story because it really is interesting and devastating. I‘m having a hard time bonding with any character. There‘s a struggling Texas plantation with 6 enslaved women who are turned into breeding women just so that the plantation can start to see some profit. The women try everything possible to not get impregnated. Maybe I‘ll try reading it again later on.
