With a rackety revving of motors, a daring dash, and a wondrous wowing wave, it's Jasper Raisintoast, racing up the river in his speedboat! Jasper is off in his speedy craft for a series of aquatic adventures, while his hearth-loving friend Tweedy-Jones stays behind (after all, friends don't have to like the same things). But Tweedy-Jones manages to have a high-flying adventure of his own. The eight chapters of this event-filled day end with the two friends reunited over a tasty meal of mutton and roast potatoes. In this tiny novel about a day in the life of two best friends, James Marshall exhibits once again his own admirable brand of delightful zaniness.
