

I rarely read books set around 1900 and the juxtaposition of horses, bicycles, carriages, cars, & trains all being viable transportation really helped set the scene for me. Having the coroner be the main investigator in a murder was interesting. This was a slow paced mystery that kept my attention mainly because the 2nd victim was such a terrible human I was curious to learn whodunnit. I liked Dan, the coroner, but none of the other characters so
