pickSince I know the author, I gave this a 5-star rating on GR, it‘s more around a 4⭐️ for me. Told from Liam & Sloane‘s perspectives—they are lifelong bffs, she is visiting him in L.A. for the summer, & she gets talked into doing a reality dating show with the star of a YA show. Is the premise unrealistic? Yes, because it‘s a YA novel (the dating show has teens 15-17). Is it fun? Yes. Romance, awkwardness, a good ending.
panMaybe it‘s just me, but there‘s something incredibly creepy about 20+ people going on reality T.V. in the hopes of forming a relationship with someone, someone who is romantically involved with multiple other people…. Throw in the fact that all the characters are 17-years-old & the creepiness factor is on overload. I was not a fan of this book, but I loved Kaitlyn Hill‘s first book so much that I would still give her future books a chance.
