3.75⭐First, I love this cover and its fabulousness put this book on my radar. If you like your supernatural/fantasy elements to ensconced in the real world…then this could be your book. For me, I liked it but I didn‘t love it. It felt like it was written by a man; IYKYK. Our MC has tremendous growth in this, and maybe that‘s what the takeaway should be. Overall, the story paired with the excellent narration made this a worthwhile endeavor.

Wowza!! I absolutely loved this book!! I‘m such a fan of a multimedia approach & Frey really makes this work here in a journalist father‘s search for his missing 12 year-old-daughter. Byron‘s daughter Liza has been gone for months but he won‘t give up on tracking her down—even when the clues he uncovers takes him well beyond his comfort-zone. An intriguing blend of mystery & fantasy, I loved seeing the pieces fit together! This is a #Top2023Read!
