“‘The fact is that by profession I‘m a psychoanalyst—quite a successful one, I suppose; successful certainly as far as money goes. The amount of money,‘ he said confidentially, ‘which some people will pay for information which they could get from three hours‘ intelligent reading in any public library…‘” As a librarian myself I can‘t help but chuckle at how true this is, especially when it comes to information. 😄

Honestly I don‘t even know what to make of this. It‘s such a strange book. I think it‘s not bad, but it‘s hard to follow and needlessly complicated. And there‘s not that much Fen all in all.

CarolynM Not much Fen wold be very disappointing ☹️ 4y

This is a mystery set in a fictional #smalltown in England. It's witty and quirky and delightful and has a bit of everything: organists, German spies, ghosts, witch trials, tombstones, and cathedrals. I'm a scaredy cat so my threshold is pretty low but I think it also fits #supernaturalmysteries as several scenes had a tinge of ghostliness and left me quite creeped out at night. #rockinmay #maybookflowers
