The Mending Directory
The Mending Directory: Over 50 Modern Stitch Patterns for Visible Repairs | Erin Eggenburg
3 posts | 1 read
"Clothing repair through visible mending is a movement that now has hundreds and thousands of followers, and Erin Eggenburg is one of the leading proponents. Through her beautiful stitch designs, Erin shows you how to hand stitch or darn your clothes and other fabric items to mend them, rather than discard them. The patterns are organized by skill level, from beginner to expert, and each project includes a photo of the completed, stitched pattern, as well as step-by-step diagrams showing how to recreate the design. Comprising over 50 hand-stitched mending patterns, you can give worn clothes a new lease of life by using these beautiful designs to repair your clothes and other fabric items"--Publisher's description.

Yeah, so I need to OWN this...I truly don't feel qualified to review this as I have not attempted any of the techniques listed, but it's clear it would be a handy regular resource, the kind of thing you keep on the shelf at home, rather than take out once from the library.

Booksblanketsandahotbeverage I like that library sticker over the pocket.. very appropriate 🤣 4mo
Robotswithpersonality @Booksblanketsandahotbeverage Good eye! Here's hoping there's library staff that got a giggle out of that. 😁 4mo

Okay, so I'm fickle in my affections. The "crossed weave" is my new favourite, though I admit, it might just be the colours at play, here. ?

The "confetti patch". Currently my favourite.
