From critically acclaimed writer Paul Griffin comes a fast-paced young adult novel about five very different teens lost at sea with no one to count on but each other. Matt and John are best friends working out in Montauk for the summer. When Driana, JoJo and Stef invite the boys to their Hamptons mansion, Matt and John find themselves in a sticky situation where temptation rivals sensibility. The newfound friends head out into the Atlantic after midnight in a stolen boat. None of them come back whole, and not all of them come back.

How did you choose this book: I have watched the movie based on this book, and it was pretty intriguing. I'm curious to see the difference between the book and the movie.
Write a brief summary of the novel; who was the protagonist; what was his/her problem and how was the problem resolved?

My brother recommended this book to me

Matt and John go to Montauk for the summer, looking to make some extra money. Matt meets a girl who invites him to a party. At the party they chase one of the girls friends out to the ocean. They hop on an old boat and follow her but the ocean drags them out. The teens are lost at sea with no fuel, no food, nothing. Who will pull through? Who won't?

Pickpick

YA survival story of five teens stranded in the Atlantic Ocean. Quick, easy read, fairly predictable, overall entertaining. I did a quick book talk for my students and all our library copies were checked out after!
