Mrs. Otis‘ class gets its second new student- Kisho, who moved to CA from OK, but was born in Japan. It‘s always nice to see more diversity in Sweet Valley and at first, everyone warmly welcomes him. But when the class learns that this is Kisho‘s second time in the second grade, they are pretty brutal— except (of course) for Elizabeth, and more surprisingly, class bully, Charlie Cashman. Eventually the kids all come back around to being friends!
