An exceptional crime novel, and Horowitz‘s talent as a mystery writer is truly remarkable. A novel within a novel. I can only fathom the immense challenge of simultaneously crafting two novels and seamlessly weaving them together. Susan Ryeland‘s character is a strong, independent woman with realistic vulnerabilities, making her a compelling and relatable protagonist.

Crete 2025 holiday reading
TDS - typical boys own adventure from Clives son
MHM - 3rd outing for Susan Ryland and an Atticus Pund 'continuation“ novel. Clever book in a book novel. Part figured it out.
TGP - ok RomCom, inspired by the film Big
TW - OK Crime. Just.
Clever. Entertaining. A long read but worth it. Heavy book hard to read in bed. 😊. Soon to be tv series. Follow on from Magpie Murders and Moonflower Murders , also TV series. Such a prolific writer. A wonder.
This book comes out in May ‘25 and if you‘ve enjoyed the other two books in this series, you‘ll enjoy this one too! Just as an fyi, there is a note at the beginning stating that this is a stand-alone novel BUT the solution to ‘Magpie Murders‘ (Book 1) is revealed. I really appreciated not having to re-read the previous 2 books, Horowitz provides background on everything so no recap is needed 👍 You can just dive in!
LOL! I love when you read a book and you find a little bread crumb from a recently read book 😂 I get this reference now, but definitely wouldn‘t have a month ago #christiecapers @Librarybelle
