Mehso-so

I picked this up because the premise sounded like a good suspense story—federal agents tracking down a killer or killers who copy the style of H.H. Holmes (who was depicted in Erik Larson‘s The Devil in the White City). But…I was bored. And the writing style was not to my taste. A joke about Hotel California was told twice to describe two separate inns. I was also a bit lost by some of the side storylines (random ghosts) and realized that ⬇️⬇️⬇️

Librarybelle ⬆️⬆️⬆️ though this was the first in a trilogy, it was in fact part of a connected set of stories from other trilogies. The audio was not my favorite—it drove me nuts the way the voice actor pronounced Culloden (I thought the first few times he said the word that he was saying Culligan). So-so read. My first time reading a Graham suspense, and I‘m not going to rush to another anytime soon. 3mo

Pickpick

I liked the main characters and the overall theme… the way that some of the book reads is unclear as it pertains to the plot… some quick movements between the crimes and the conclusion of the arrest was not as descriptive as I would like …but I liked it overall as it was a unique read
