Okay so I‘m trying this immersion reading I was told about… and rereading nevernight I downloaded the audible and I noticed the narrator said Marius not Adonai … in that book is said his name was Adonai on every line and his sister Marielle … when I looked at my SE it says Marius what am I missing 🧐

Ddzmini @InkedBookworm13 yea it was okay for me I know every book is different for each person there were some pretty funny passages though 1mo
DogMomIrene It‘s been optioned for a TV series. I forget who bought it, but maybe you like the show more than the book. Because who could resist Princess Donut bossing Carl around on screen? 1mo

I didn‘t post this on here yet but just wanted to share my total books read from 2024… I‘m hoping I can read this many this year 📚🙂

DogMomIrene Impressive! Way to go you! 🙌🏼 2mo
Ddzmini @DogMomIrene thank you didn‘t even realize I read that many so this year I‘m going to make sure I put all the books I read on a separate shelf so I can actually see the books 📚 2mo
DogMomIrene @Ddzmini Yes, you totally should, especially if your tracker creates the graphic based off how you tag the books. I‘ve tried those shelves that you color yourself on paper. I never keep up with them.🤦🏻‍♀️ 2mo
Ddzmini @DogMomIrene same I had a book calendar from 2017 never used it 🫣 it‘s been easier for me to use the tbr app though even if I‘m rereading a book it will still record it 2mo

I‘ve had to think about my review for this as it is so emotional… I will only say that you have to read it and it is one of the best I‘ve read of 2024…. On this first day of 2025 I‘ve come to the end of this trilogy and can‘t wait to read more books by this author (that I haven‘t read already)

This was so well written I had to wait to actually process my feelings in regards to the comprehensive aspects of this book… Maya I feel your pain and wonder how many others do as well… specifically because of the responses from half of the town and the purpertrator… although this is fiction (is it really though) Backman has grasped the reality of this heinous crime…

While this presents some controversial subjects in the complexity of social norms it was an amazing read… it brings the question is society really a good thing or is it filled with bias and prejudice against unknown factors of life… the simplicity of life is far healthier then the social norms presented here …

There are a few really great quotes in this read… loved that it‘s a different type of read and yet there are portions of the book that are relatable to other books … while I like this for many reasons I really hated the ending … I mean really I need to know what‘s next … so I have to order the next book

Okay I liked the first book in this series, this one I really didn‘t, with all that happened to the main character it was a little over the top. I tried, I really tried to get to “like” but I just couldn‘t. I know this is a popular series and I‘m trying to figure out why. the abuse is over the top and there should be some type of goal…if he can‘t get to where he needs to go. I think my biggest issue is, if he‘s an assassin how is he always caught?

CoverToCoverGirl All valid questions. I‘m not a fantasy reader at all but these came highly recommended to me. I loved them and have read the first three books. Fitz‘s struggle is very real, ugly and harsh. To me it had a very medieval atmosphere, and the Wit and the Skill were just plausible enough for me buy into the storyline and I especially loved Nighteyes. As readers we can‘t like everything, even if it is a popular series. 2mo
Ddzmini @CoverToCoverGirl yes I agree and I have to say there have been time were I go back and reread a book and get a whole different feel so I‘m not getting rid of the books it‘s just I‘ll have to reread them in the future and see if I change my mind on it 2mo
