Really enjoyed this and I‘m happy to find another author that I can get more books to read
Really enjoyed this and I‘m happy to find another author that I can get more books to read
The last of the short story reads I have really happy that I read these great stories
Finished this and it‘s really great especially like the first short story
A little spooky 👻 but really good short stories really enjoyed each one
I‘m really enjoying these short stories… and it‘s an introduction to other authors I haven‘t read so great read
Love it love it love it… I can‘t wait to read it the book and the snacks are awesome thank you so much @Deblovestoread really will enjoy all of this including scoping for it #littlechristmasswap @bookish_wookish I had a great time with this swap and will look forward to the next one 😊📚
Finished Chaos in death really good even though it‘s only 100 pgs 👍🏼🙂
I didn‘t post this on here yet but just wanted to share my total books read from 2024… I‘m hoping I can read this many this year 📚🙂
I‘ve had to think about my review for this as it is so emotional… I will only say that you have to read it and it is one of the best I‘ve read of 2024…. On this first day of 2025 I‘ve come to the end of this trilogy and can‘t wait to read more books by this author (that I haven‘t read already)
What can I say that‘s not new about my love for Nora Roberts books … this was from the first page to the last… loved Bodine and Cal and all the rest of the characters… if you want a book that you can‘t put down I say pick this up …
This was so well written I had to wait to actually process my feelings in regards to the comprehensive aspects of this book… Maya I feel your pain and wonder how many others do as well… specifically because of the responses from half of the town and the purpertrator… although this is fiction (is it really though) Backman has grasped the reality of this heinous crime…
Again Steven Erikson does a beautiful job describing, creating, and engaging readers… a least this reader… loved this one I laughed and loved every word … there has to be more … at least I‘m hoping that there will be
I‘m not really sure if I liked this … for me it was just okay… on the long-winded side it could have been shorter but it was not what I expected … idk if I‘m just having one of those weeks were anything I read is so-so 🧐😣
While this presents some controversial subjects in the complexity of social norms it was an amazing read… it brings the question is society really a good thing or is it filled with bias and prejudice against unknown factors of life… the simplicity of life is far healthier then the social norms presented here …
In this short story Nightingale combs New York with one Augustus Berrycloth-Young on a quest to discover the origins of a Saxophone… very adventurous… I loved that you get to see Nightingale in his element… loved it
Really enjoyed this quick read … I would love traveling across the US with the intent to photograph all the human/scenery that I discovered… beautiful written
I‘m still amazed that I find books by Nora Roberts I haven‘t read. Really enjoyed reading about Hunter and Lee .. great read 📖😊
There are a few really great quotes in this read… loved that it‘s a different type of read and yet there are portions of the book that are relatable to other books … while I like this for many reasons I really hated the ending … I mean really I need to know what‘s next … so I have to order the next book
One of my New Year‘s resolutions is to do more of this 📚🤪
Okay I liked the first book in this series, this one I really didn‘t, with all that happened to the main character it was a little over the top. I tried, I really tried to get to “like” but I just couldn‘t. I know this is a popular series and I‘m trying to figure out why. the abuse is over the top and there should be some type of goal…if he can‘t get to where he needs to go. I think my biggest issue is, if he‘s an assassin how is he always caught?
I don‘t know where the year has gone but I have doubled my reading goal since April … next year I‘ll have to up the goal to 150 or 200
This was a really good read with unexpected twist and turns really enjoyed reading this and look forward to other books by this author
Received my box today #littlechristmasswap #LCS @bookish_wookish @Deblovestoread excited 😊
Not really sure what I read except for the descriptive process of unnecessary items … yes your driving a car and you have a cell phone but do we need make, model, or interior/ exterior description that last a few pages or a page … some of the book was good … maybe because I‘m not used to the writing style I may give it another try at a later date or just let it go sad I really wanted to like it
Okay this is why I try to read a series when all the books are out … from beginning to end this takes you through it and still delivers a punch… that ending though… this is one of the best I‘ve read in a while … and now I have to wait for the final book
@Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks as you can see yes I love it and with slight changes in the books you‘ve read it gives you different shelves 😊📚
Just received my box from Litjoy loving the cover of the tagged book beautiful 😊… Christmas presents to self is important too 🎁
Received my book outlet box so excited to start reading these great finds all under $5.00 📚😊… of course this makes my tbr ridiculous… like it wasn‘t before these 🤣🤣🤣📚📚📚📚📚📚
Finished and sent #littlechristmasswap #LCS @bookish_wookish so excited to see my swap open it love giving 📚😊
Once again Nora Roberts hits every aspect of a great beginning… all the spooky and atmospheric representations of a haunting with aspects of time travel, mirror/mirror, and questionable deaths… I am now immediately reading “The Mirror” I‘m happy I waited… but wish all the books were out because the way this ended I would have cried it such a great way to start the next book
This is a sad story but a heartfelt one … from the beginning you realize this is a special story about Alzheimer‘s/dementia (?)… I really love how Beckman presents different mental health issue in his books loved it … even though it‘s a sad book
I love Fredrik Backman‘s writing in general but I really loved this … it‘s not that we don‘t like people we just like solitude better … no arguing, disturbances, or messes … this is hilarious and engaging and it provides insight into those introverts that are perfectly happy with the way they are
We enter a story about a boy and leave the story when the boy becomes an assassin and yet the end brings out all the sadness because of a dog … was the story good yes it has good moments and some great … will I read the next book yes yes I will … I can‘t say this was a perfect read because violence, but it was a really good start to a trilogy
This book was a great representation of evil/repressed/depressed consciousness for the characters (or am I off) … the characters are struggling with their environment and life in general, but “the shadow” in psychology has been represented as the negative aspects of consciousness… therefore this aspect of the shadow was represented beautifully… Even though this is dark it delivers… I loved it
This is what I was looking for just as short as the others but has substance and a great conclusion… liked the characters and story was what I was looking for in these short stories
