1 post | 2 read | 4 to read
A beguiling, quietly magical appreciation of lifes little pleasures. Little Shrew is diligent in all parts of life. Hes a hard worker and follows a strict schedule from morning to night. But even a life that runs like clockwork can be filled with unexpected pockets of joy. This charming collection of three short stories perfect for emerging readers illustrated in Miyakoshis signature soft monochrome palette, celebrates enduring friendships, dreams for the future and the little pleasures that make everyday life more meaningful.

Pickpick

My boys and I read plenty of children‘s books though I rarely feel the need to share them with others. But Little Shrew was a standout for all three of us, admittedly mostly me. Simple, slice of life sections with lovely illustrations, this book gave Frog and Toad vibes for a new generation. I loved it and feel it deserves a Litsy review!
