Lucky to find the first three books in this series. Since I haven't made the time to get myself to an actual bookstore (in years), I usually have to settle with only reading book “one“, or staying away from any “series“ altogether.

Glad I read Shea Ernshaw's “Winterwood“ first, which immediately became a favorite. This story just didn't manage to enchant me as deeply.
Not to say that this wasn't good, because it was interesting.
A sad, tragic, love story.
The last bit, “Land and Sea“ was a perfectly, sweet ending for this story. Truly befitting a ghostly tale.

This is an extraordinary kind of story. It took me awhile to grasp interest, then Brandt came into the story and I began to pay more attention.
The story is complex. Slowly, I began to like all the characters and kept returning to the character artwork at the front and back of the book, studying them. Each time, they seemed anew. Details, afresh. 👇

While researching the different animated Batman versions and finding out if any are available locally (on DVD), I discover that David Giuntoli (who has played Batman in a couple of the animated versions) and actress Bitsie Tulloch are married!
These two played the roles of Nick Burkhardt and Juliette Silverton on the TV show Grimm. One of my favorite shows (and these two were my favorite couple on that show). 👇

For the first time I couldn't select Batman! Wouldn't watch the third film in the trilogy, The Dark Knight Rises. Skipped, Batman and Superman because I could never understand Superman's problem with Batman 😂. And while I did catch the newest Batman film, it depressed me for like a week or two...
For some reason, I would never watch an animated version of Batman. Strange, I love animation. Yet Batman had to be real.
How I came to watch, Son of Batman is mostly accidental & a bit wacky...long story short, I LOVED this animated flick.
I've read “about“ Bruce Wayne's son, Damian yet never found (in person) a book or movie with him. This is also my first glimpse of Nightwing

I hadn't realized that this book would be heavily focused on a game. A gamblers game.
A game is one thing, but a story about gambling almost never catches my interest.
Although, for some reason this book reminds me of a game from Native America. Not the same, just to be clear. Just hints of these games have me weighing them together...👇

Usually, I need more than “Beauty and the Beast“ for me to buy into a romance.
This one did have a protective “big brother“ mixed into the storyline.
Yet what intrigued me was the catch-line, “He Has A Heart of Ice...But For Her, He'd Burn The World.“
What kind of lady does that make me!?! 😂🤔.
Anyhow, my review has some spoilers. Therefore I will hide the bulk of them in the comments of this post. 👇
I'm sad that I've finished this. Haven't seen the Dick Tracy movie since childhood, and these stories are the first ones I've ever read about this character.
When I first discovered this book amongst my brother's things, I immediately wanted to read through it as fast as possible. Then I realized what a mistake that would be for me to do. 👇

This song has been haunting me for like a week...not sure why. I hear a clip of this every Sunday, yet it never before stayed with me for more than a day. Good thing I love this song 😉👍🎶💝. Should select a book from my bookcase to match up 📚😎🎶.
My mom is looking for a new coffee ☕ maker. We've been sweeping different stores over the past few weeks...while no coffee pot has won my mom's interest...I've discovered some goodies 😂.
Including this Dracula doll from best buy. That store really has abandoned all things DVD 🥺. I don't know if your locations are the same, but a word of caution. Try to go into best buy with a buddy. Extremely lonely.
Only on chapter 20 of 60+ (which divides 460 pages). Yet, surprisingly, seems a magically fast read.
A funny, whimsical, cozy mystery that I'm absolutely loving.
