Bailedbailed

This started out like a good horror book. I expected a love story from the rich Ryan, but fourteen percent in, I find an r-word scene. My mother‘s library friend read the spoilers, and Ryan doesn‘t get punished. It‘s depressing when men like that have all of the money. I am bailing on this book.

Started this book yesterday, finished it tonight. Fast-paced thriller that kept me reading and wanting more. Rose Reid‘s life seems perfect with her perfect husband, perfect lifestyle. But not everything is as it appears. These stories always creep me out when you realize you truly don‘t always know a person.

This was well written, tense and fast paced. The past and present timelines were easy to follow. It was a little predictable at times, however there were a few surprises thrown in. A little unbelievable towards the end, but this didn‘t mar the novel as a whole. Solid 4*

Psychological thrillers are often not my thing but this was - aside from a couple of eye-rolls towards the end - quite satisfying, occasionally creepy, and whiled away a lazy afternoon off.

When the person you marry is a monster but you don't realise it until it's too late.
