SUICIDE SQUAD has a specific tone achieved through the delicate balance of a group of mercenaries in silly costumes having quirky banter sessions between bouts of ultra-violence. This run has a Manga art style that renders the characters as deformed cartoons. This destroys that balance, and the book becomes entirely silly. I cannot oversell how much this ruined the book for me (and I am a long-time fan). Only for hardcore followers of the series.
