We have unintentionally deprived ourselves of the opportunity to engage in a critical discussion about the businesses that ought to exist, not merely the venture that could. It is far easier to serve the consumer than the public. With Zynga and Groupon, the market has spoken that we need more online games and more effective coupon aggregators… depriving us of the meaningful discussion about what companies should exist.
