I took some time to tidy my desk today and found that I had five (5) open cookbooks scattered about. 😏 I mean, I HAVE been trying to get out of a dinner rut recently. 😂

Ruthiella I‘m also sensing a make ahead one pot theme! 🧑‍🍳 2d
SheReadsAndWrites Don't Panic, It's In The Freezer got me through the years of feeding teenagers. Love that one. 🙂 2d
mcctrish I can‘t believe I‘m saying this, but I am looking forward to soup season 2d

Bookwormjillk Don‘t Panic It‘s In The Freezer was favorite of mine when my kids were little. I should dig that out again. 2d
bookandbedandtea @Ruthiella Yes indeed! These days I'm looking for quick and easy and/or make ahead meals! 2d
bookandbedandtea @SheReadsAndWrites @Bookwormjillk I used to cook out of that book all the time but forgot about it over the last several years. I remembered it a couple weeks ago and am getting ready to do some of my old favorites. 😊 2d
bookandbedandtea @mcctrish I am absolutely ready for soup season! 🍁🍃🍂🥣 2d
Jeg Love your collection there. Here we are waiting for the salad season. Seems our weather at the moment has given us an extended soup season. 🌦 21h
Tonidreads328 What did you take from these? It‘s an ever nagging question! What can I do with meal prep? And this morning I passed by a freezer meal book on Libby but need more guidance on what freezes well that‘s Gluten Free. 😩 10h
bookandbedandtea @Tonidreads328 When I used to do this regularly I'd make extras (the freezer cookbooks I have give measurements to double, triple, or more each recipe). So I'd make dinner for tonight, for example, making 2 or 3 more at the same time and put those in the freezer. If you do that once or twice a week, pretty soon you have a good stockpile and you can then skip "making" dinner once or twice a week. I don't know much about gluten free cooking though. 4h
Tonidreads328 That makes so much sense. And easier to me than prepping all day and cooking an additional meal. I could start small with things like taco meat, or spaghetti sauce, and prep my own garlic bread. Double my fried rice recipes and waffles. 🫢 you hacked freezer meals for me!! Thank you. (edited) 3h
