Pickpick

Set in 2004, this was an interesting crime novel in which a young reporter + budfinh PhD. student investigate the discovery of human remains in a Liverpool building site. What follows is the story of the Irish immigrant experience in the ports docks from the early 1950s and the unions as we follow the story of criminal gangs, corrupt police, and more importantly, families. it will apparently a trilogy, so plan to read more.
