Four centuries after humanity has colonized the galaxy, information freight companies are used as an alternative to electronic communication. Pickpick

I finished this today. It got very fast paced toward the end, but the techno babble increased and the narrator had even more trouble with pacing. Sigh. I‘d recommend this book very highly, but in print. It‘s a great story about what a world with sentient AIs might look like and how they would conduct themselves. It‘s also about the nature and futility of war. Beautifully done.

I‘m so enjoying this book! The narrator‘s delivery is a bit choppy, but her voice and ability with accents and characterization are nice.

I‘ve stepped up listening to audio books since arriving in the U.K. On average about 18 hours a month. This is my “lifetime” total since I started using the Audible app in 2013. 10 days spent reading sounds like a lot to me, but it‘s more like I added these 10 hours to my life because, of course, I was doing something else at the same time as listening!

Listening to the tagged book right now. Cool. Space opera, sentient AI‘s, Muslim characters.

AmyG I love audio books. I walk, drive and clean while "reading". 7y
EllieDottie I feel the same way about audiobooks! You get twice as much done!! 7y
DivaDiane @EllieDottie @AmyG I love them! I have to be careful that I‘m really doing something that doesn‘t require though, though, or I tune out of the book. 7y
BethM Love them, especially for my commute. But I also have to make sure im doing something relatively thoughtless. Conversely the book can't be too good or I don't pay attention to the road 😂 7y
DivaDiane @BethM Ha! Me too! 7y
