AT THAT MOMENT, MY LIFE TOOK ON A DIFFERENT GENRE.
As a struggling office worker, Dokja Kim's sole joy in life is an online novel so obscure that he's its only reader. Then one day the story comes to an end…and so does the world. People all around the globe suddenly find themselves being massacred by horrific monsters or pitted against each other in sadistic scenarios straight out of the novel. However, only Dokja is aware that this is merely the first chapter of what is to come. Knowing that devastating plot twists are on the horizon, he can no longer afford to sit back as a reader—it's time for Dokja to step up and write his own destiny!

Just got the latest volume of the print edition of my favorite Webtoon adaptation of the cult favorite Korean web novel, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint.

TracyReadsBooks So good! Have you seen the movie? 2d
JLaurenceCohen @TracyReadsBooks no, where can I watch it?! 2d
TracyReadsBooks @JLaurenceCohen It‘s available to rent on a number of different streaming services right now—Apple, Amazon, and Viki. I think it‘s supposed to be free somewhere soon but don‘t remember where. 😬 Reviews were mixed in Korea but it‘s on my list to watch. I‘m curious to see how good/bad the adaptation is. (I should add the movie is titled Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy.) 2d
JLaurenceCohen @TracyReadsBooks oof, these reviews are bad, but I'll definitely watch it 1d

Pickpick

The manhwa is a pretty close adaptation of the light novel, which I read pretty recently, so not a lot jumped out and surprised me. I like the art, which is similar in style to Solo Leveling (which makes sense, both Redice Studio). Sometimes the light novel explains things better, sometimes the manhwa.

I'm having fun and definitely want to read more.

Somehow I'm feeling the Dokja/Joonghyuk vibes more from this though.
