I can't tell you how many times I went into Books-A-Million and took a picture of this book to remember to read it at some point....well, I finally did, and this has been one of, if not my favorite books that I have read this year!
The first half is the author's personal story, and the second half is present day testimonies of Christian who have been, and are under, persecution. What an impactful read that really puts our faith into perspective!

My second book for #Lent2020 - @Lcsmcat how is it going with you?😃

Lcsmcat I‘m still reading the Merton. But I have to confess I‘m not reading as much as I was. I work in local government and we‘re crazy right now with the pandemic. Plus my husband and I are both working from home right now which means lunch with him instead of my book. 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I‘m hoping to put in some serious reading time this weekend. 5y
HannaPolkadots @Lcsmcat - I completely understand! My reading has been been slowed down too, both because I struggle to concentrate with all that is going on, but also because this week I (like so many others) have had to completely change my teaching practice and learn a whole lot of new programs... Thumbs up for all the great work done by local government at this time!👏❤ Hope you will get a relaxing weekend. 5y
Lcsmcat @HannaPolkadots Thanks! I‘m going to try not to think about it for 48 hours. 😀 5y
