pickI've read (and reread) over 30 YA titles featuring #mermaids and #sirens and can say quite certainly none had kept me on my toes like #Alosa did. Reading deep into the night I was so engrossed I literally screamed when my five year old tried to get my attention by peeking around the book. I love authors who make lore their own, no fins here, but I hope The Ava-Lee sails ahead on many more adventures.
