This year I really branched out into graphic novels and books like El Deafo make me thankful for that choice. I loved reading the struggles and triumphs of CeCe. It reminded me not only of my hearing issues throughout my life (none as difficult as hers), but also of the ones that childhood brings. It was fun and perfect for the back to school time that as an adult I miss. Wonderful book. #ElDeafo #CeceBell

Starting off my autumn feelings right with a 24-Hour Solo Readathon. This is my stack for today, with a GASP that I have only ever read the first in the Harry Potter series. I‘m trying to read all 7 this month and still read a selection of other fiction, making a readathon a perfect answer. Have you read any of these books? Thoughts? #TheKissQuotient #HarryPotter #AThousandBeginningsAndEndings #Rashomon #StarDust #Hereville #ElDeafo #Readathon

Finished this in two sittings. I loved the story. Bell does a great job of explaining how she felt and thought through her journey with hearing loss, and I think it's 100% accessible for students of any age. One of my new favorites! #eldeafo #elementarylibrarian #childrenslit
