pickI finished this late last night. A pretty quick read and bizarre. This wouldn't be a lot of people's cuppa but I enjoyed the weirdness. The world falls into chaos: a volcano rises from the bay, Sasquatch & floating horse heads are among us, people are changed physically, and Scotch is growing a layer of black sticky blemishes. The plot is all over the place. If you like weird, give this a try.

so-soThis one definitely lacked that excitement that book one had. You spend more time havin Harper cry out “I need to call my grandma” then her actually trying to deal with the spirits. There was also a lot of unnecessary recaps from book 1, and the death of a character that actually really made me angry because it made bringing her back in book 1 pointless.
pickHoly moly the stuff that Harper goes through in this book is insane. At times I kept asking myself “am I reading a middle grade book” numerous this girl almost died. These ghosts are ready to murder a 12 year old!! It was so wild!
