pickParis April 1944. A hunger strike to protest strict immigration laws escalates among the Algerian immigrants. Car bombing and Aimee & her friend, Anais, barely escape. Aimee will investigate to find out the truth behind the bombing. The plot is complex and the characters are many to keep track of. I like the French history in these books and Black's writing is very interesting. Look forward to 3rd book in the series & highly recommend this one.
