Pickpick

Not quite as great as the first book in the series but still a lot of fun. This time around Finlay is trying to find out who wants to put a hit out on her ex husband and things quickly get more complicated when a hit man accepts the job, her ex refuses to see that there is a threat, two men are confusing the heck out of her, and her agent still expects her next book.

Pickpick

I picked this one up because it‘s the book that the 2001 revenge/slasher movie of the same name is based on. Yes, I know that‘s not a great movie, but I still like it. However, it‘s only very loosely based on the book. The novel is a thriller, not horror. Do you remember the movies that aired on the USA Network in the late 80s and 90s? Red Wind, pictured above, was one of may favorites as the killer used a wood chipper. As I read this novel, ⬇️

Bookzombie I kept thinking how perfect it would have been as one of those movies. While not the best thriller I have read, I enjoyed this. I didn‘t have the killer figured out. I should have though, lol #Booked2023 #Bookdescribedwiththewordtwist (edited) 2y
Reggie Omg yes, my grandma used to love watching those USA thrillers. The one that scared the $!*# out of me was the one where the woman was working late in that skyscraper and someone is just killing people there overnight. She‘s in the elevator with her friend and that killer just grabs her friend when the elevator door opens and kills her. I‘ll never forget it. Also there is another one where at the end the woman is running from the killer and bangs 2y
Reggie on the restaurant window to be let in but the cleaner is vacuuming while listening to their Walkman. So she has to run down the dock and gets into the water while the killer walks over her on the dock. Something like that. They were crazy- crazy good. Lol 2y
Bookzombie @Reggie Yay! I‘m so happy someone remembered. I watched a lot of them with my mom. I may have to see if I can find one to watch on YouTube or something. 2y
