I‘ve been trying to finish this forever and realized I just. don‘t. care. I feel like the MC was unnecessarily stupid for the first two-thirds of the book and all because of a dog. Luckily for me, @RiotMom read the whole thing and recapped the end and I‘ll just say, I‘m glad I made the decision I did. I‘m bummed. #bookmarkpulled

This just isn‘t the book I wanted it to be. I like Egan‘s writing, but don‘t care about the story or characters. I got into this because I wanted to read about a woman diver during WWII and that‘s barely a part of the book. I don‘t like how the disabled sister was handled. Basically, this book was a mess for me. I‘ll try another Egan book at some point because she can put together a sentence, but this is not the one for me. #bookmarkpulled
