

It‘s amazing I haven‘t read this book before. I quite liked it. My mom LOVED the movie—I‘ve seen it a lot. And we all said my uncle (see above) looked like Clark Gable. Scarlett O‘Hara is small but mighty. The author throws in plenty of social commentary with a strong historical perspective. The racism and classism wore on me , though.

Schnoebs When I visited my family in Mexico, I was talking to them about books. They suggested this one by Blair and said it was their Mexican version of Gone with the Wind and very much a classic piece of literature for them. Still currently sitting on tbr though 😂
