4. Tough one, I‘ve always wanted to time travel and see history, but they don‘t always have luxuries or running water, so maybe Sci-Fi is the way to go
5. I recently skipped the 1st book and started at the 2nd. But I often don‘t get to the end of a series either.

What an emotional tale with lots of life revelations! This was such a great buildup to the main characters realizing their emotions for each other and identifying them. I could empathize on many levels with Dora and her lack of being able to show proper emotions for the situation. And oh my gosh Lord Sorcier is downright handsomely delicious with his heartfelt sympathy! He had me swooning at several instances 🥰

This quote struck me, “Waiting is the cruelest thing I have ever endured. Like bereavement, but with no certainty.”

This emotional tale of the many woman who were caught up in the Greek Trojan war over Helen “who‘s face launched a thousand ships” was a neat way to frame many of the stories we already know: The Odyssey, the Iliad, and others. The author gave voice to those who don‘t in a war - the women who become slaves of the victors.

An interesting text that deals little with the actual picture itself and more on the psychology of the human lust for pleasure without conscious.

I can‘t wait to discuss the book at club next week.

While shopping at #target I came across this book! What caught my eye was Sanderson‘s name. Come to find out this is in the larger universe of The Stormlight Archive series! I guess this was a kickstarter campaign for him.
