Book that Changed Your Life

I don‘t know that I can name just one book that changed my life. There have been many. But this one was given to me by my theatre professors in college, and what I learned from this book, and those professors, shaped my love and practice of theatre for the decades that followed. I revisit it every time I direct a play.

The Lord of the Rings: One Volume | J.R.R. Tolkien

My dad first read The Hobbit and LotR to me when I was wee. I am one hundred percent sure I would be a different person today if I had not had the experience of falling in love with this story while curled up next to my dad at such a young age.
