A worn out paperback from the library (I really want to repair it with scotch tape the way I do my own books when they're this worn but idk if that's allowed with library books) that I'm enjoying.
One issue though, a previous reader has made editorial notes (sloppy ones) in the book. Mostly changing "man" and "manning" into "staff" and "staffing". It's irritating. It disrupts my reading flow. :(
#dontwriteinlibrarybooks
BookishMarginalia I would amend the hashtag to #dontwriteinbooksthatdontbelongtoyou 😎 8y
Vexingcircumstance @BookishMarginalia valid point. I've never had anyone write in a book they borrowed from me before though (although I do often highlight things in my own books). Is that a thing people do? 8y
Suet624 I'm surprised the library hasn't purchased a new copy. 8y
Vexingcircumstance @Suet624 I doubt they would bother for an old paperback like this. They'd probably just not have a copy at all until/unless someone suggested it for purchase. 8y
